Learn blackjack basic strategy at a real Vegas table
Six decks, dealer hits soft 17, blackjack pays 3:2. House Edge Casino deals the game exactly as a Las Vegas pit does, then shows you the mathematically correct play on every hand until it becomes second nature.

Dealt by the book
Rule variations change the house edge, so the app uses a common Las Vegas rule set and tells you what it is. With perfect basic strategy the edge is roughly 0.5%, among the lowest in the casino.

Basic strategy in sixty seconds
Basic strategy is the set of plays that minimizes the house edge for every combination of your hand and the dealer's up card. It was derived from the math of the game, not from hunches, and it is the same chart professionals memorize.
- Always split aces and eights. Never split tens or fives.
- Stand on hard 17 or higher. Stand on hard 12 through 16 when the dealer shows 2 through 6; otherwise hit.
- Double hard 11 against anything, and hard 10 against a dealer 2 through 9.
- Hit soft 17 or lower. Double soft 13 through 18 against weak dealer cards when allowed.
- Decline insurance. It is a side bet with a house edge above 7% in a six-deck game.

Blackjack questions
Does the app use real blackjack rules?
Yes. It deals from a six-deck shoe with the dealer hitting soft 17, blackjack paying 3:2, double after split allowed, and split aces receiving one card. These are standard Las Vegas rules, and the app states them up front.
Can I learn card counting with House Edge Casino?
The app is designed to teach basic strategy, the foundation every counting system builds on. Mastering basic strategy first is the single biggest improvement most players can make.
Is the deck rigged to make me lose?
No. Outcomes are truly random and the shoe is dealt honestly. The only edge the house has is the one built into the rules, which is about 0.5% with perfect play.
Is this real-money blackjack?
No. House Edge Casino is a free simulator for practice and entertainment. No real money is wagered or won.
